Pure Wander Partners: New Quarterly Recap & What's Ahead! 🌎

Hi there, it's Eileen!

This is the very first edition of what will be my quarterly industry newsletter, designed to keep you on the radar of my latest projects and what I'll be covering.

In case it’s been a minute, I’m a freelance travel writer and content creator currently based near Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2013, I’ve owned Pure Wander, a blog hub for traveling with family and friends.

Whether we're actively working together or haven't connected in a while, I hope this update on my recent work provides a look at what's been keeping me busy. As an FYI, this is separate from my monthly Pure Wander newsletter. If you're interested in subscribing there, just let me know, and I'd be happy to add you! Of course, if you'd like to be removed from this list, you can do so below or reply. Thanks so much for your time and support.

🥜This Quarter (& years!) in a Nutshell:

  • PW Partnership: Recently worked with Marriott Bonvoy, The Museum of Ice Cream, Overtone, and Unbound Merino. Collaborated with Visit Tucson on a static IG post, generating 20,000+ views. Collaborated with Visit Newport on an IG reel, generating 7,000+ views.
  • Freelance: Featured in Matador Network for my story on The 7 Best Soccer Bars in Boston for Watching the World Cup. Featured in FWT Magazine for my story on Masters of Craft: A Sweet and Savory Showdown in Mexico City.
  • Speaking: At the WITS conference in Salt Lake City, UT in 2024 I had a session on How to Evolve Your Content Into a Family Affair. I plan to attend IMM NYC in January 2025: please let me know if you'll be there too!
  • Personal: If it’s been a while, I’ve had two babies! One daughter in 2020, another in 2023. This year's top trips included Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Tucson AZ, Newport RI, and The UK.

🌐Pure Wander in Review

  • Pure Wander continues to welcome roughly 40,000 readers per month. We've managed to dodge the Google updates so far. More consistent editorial from myself and contributors is planned for the rest of 2025.
  • The most popular posts in the last few years have been Oahu, Hawaii; Thailand, and Plymouth, Massachusetts.
  • We launched a free, downloadable 'Travel Hack' guide to boost our newsletter.
  • Dedicating time to Pure Wander social media channels has allowed the impressions and views to skyrocket for 2025 (nearly 500k impressions per month!). Viewers love videos like this airport lounge review and tips on traveling with little ones.
  • I’ve invested in a professional phone gimbal, DSLR camera, GoPro, DJI drone, and other new equipment to provide optimal photo and video footage.

The Mention Desk

More to come! Here are a few highlights from the past few years:

👀Looking Ahead

I’m currently seeking collaborations that align with my curiosity in sustainable tourism initiatives, partnerships with women-owned brands, and destinations that cater to families with small children. We will be working on the annual Pure Wander gift guides again this year, alongside giveaways and special features. For 2026, I’m open with my family of four for one large international work trip in Q1 or Q4, as well as one additional solo work trip anytime. Local travel news and opportunities in New England are always welcome.

  • I’m thrilled to be working as a content creator with Grand Rapids, Michigan at the beginning of October with the family. I’m also working with the IDA (International Drivers Association) on PW video content this quarter.
  • Other trips for 2025 include Panama and Colombia this October, as well as Daytona Beach, Florida in December. Next year, 2026, includes an earned media partnership with the Tapoco Lodge in North Carolina, and tentative trips to Las Vegas, NV and Hawaii (so far!).

🙌 Let's Connect!

This was a LOT the first go-around, but next quarter will be brief.

I'm delighted to share traveling with you and anticipate many more meaningful connections ahead. I'd love to discuss how we can partner on your upcoming campaign goals. Feel free to reply to this email to set up a chat anytime!

To those I’ve partnered with, thank you so much for believing in Pure Wander and all of my stories. Passion for the world and all its beauty runs deep. I'm humbled to work with incredibly talented and dedicated people who hope to bring their own stories to life.

Cheers to adventure,

Eileen Cotter Wright

May 2026 Pure Wander Travel Check out the latest on Instagram Hey Reader - On the road again! Las Vegas was something else; my first time back in 20 years! But this trip was much more laid back. We stayed in a gorgeous hotel off-strip, took a jeep tour into Red Rocks, and did some retro sightseeing at the Neon Museum. Heck, we avoided the strip all together! Next week I'll be on a panel at WITS: The Women in Travel Summit. It's one of my favorite gatherings all year. This time we take over...

April 2026 Pure Wander Travel Check out the latest on Instagram Hey Reader - This is the longest I've been at home for a WHILE. No planes since January! That's changing next month, but it's made space for lots of other good things. I've had a blast seeing some Boston attractions with my kids (The Museum of Ice Cream and the new pop-up Barbie Café) and playing tourist locally. We're outside more often, working on a wildflower garden at home, and having more playdates. I even lost my mind and...
